Dear Colleagues, LC is planning a program on the Judische Kulturbund Project on Nov. 10, 2016. The details are being worked out. The flyer and information will be posted once everything is finalized. We are planning an audio-visual presentation including a live performance of songs from the Kulturbund. For the director and others involved, it's a labor of love. They are passionate about the project. Just thought you might want to know about this wonderful project. Gail
The Jüdische Kulturbund Project The Jüdische Kulturbund Project is producing a multimedia play and other initiatives that tell the story of Jewish musicians and performing artists who organized in 1933 Nazi Germany and performed until the Final Solution in 1941. Featuring stories based on filmed interviews with members of this unique group and contemporary artists living around the world, the project explores stories of heroic stands for artistic freedom and response to unjust control and repression.
