I own a collection of somewhere between 5,000 and 8,000 books, primarily Judaica, and would very much like to have it posted on [email protected]. The collection includes our prehistory, ancient history, medieval history, modernity, current history and many, many books on art. It is primarily a research library which I used for lectures, but there are prayer books, holiday books and music books. Also, there are many non-fiction secular books (biographies, etc.) in the collection and a bookcase full of rare books including signed copies of Eli Weisel's books (he was a friend). I would consider donating the collection, but only as a whole. I would like to sell the collection which was appraised at $80,000 when I moved to Florida 26 years ago and it was much smaller (about 4,000 to 5,000 books).
