Hi all, Finally the Whizin Center at AJU has uploaded the 90-second video they made of the date back in September when we opened the new Sperber Jewish Community Library in Los Angeles and I wanted to share it with people on this list. It shows the celebration on the day we opened where the community was invited for a kid's concert with "Doda Mollie" (she is great-has a YouTube page!) and arts and crafts and free goodies, etc.
The library is named after Burton Sperber-- a local philanthropist who was also a well-known amateur magician, so we have a section devoted to collecting books on magic. The library is directly adjoining the Ostrow Academic Library at AJU and there is a shot of that side, also. The thing to note is that when we began this project, the library was a room with book shelves around the perimeter and some tables in the center and that's all-- so it is nice that we can celebrate what we made.
