I am sorry to inform you of the passing of Mr. Murray Halpern, father of Noreen Wachs, Ramaz Middle School Librarian and Treasurer of AJL-NYMA. The funeral was held on Sunday, June 25th.
Shiva will be observed as follows: At the home of Noreen Wachs, 215 West 78th St., Apt. 3A (between Broadway and Amsterdam Ave.), New York, NY 10024; Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, daily until 10 pm (Shacharit, 7:30 am; Mincha/Maariv, 8:20 pm); Wednesday morning, Shacharit minyan only. Shiva will continue in Brooklyn, at the home of the deceased, 1620 Avenue I, Apt. 107, Brooklyn, NY on Wednesday, 11 am-9:30 pm (Mincha/Maariv, 8:15 pm). Shiva will be completed at the home of Yossie Halpern, 68-10 108th Street, Apt. 2D, Forest Hills, NY; Thursday, until 10 pm, and Friday, until 3:30 pm (Shacharit, 7 am; Mincha/Maariv, 8:15 pm) May the family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
