Dear Clients,

The special auction of unique and rare items, which was held before
Passover, was a great success. 92% of the items were sold at good prices.

We are happy to announce a new auction, which includes a wide variety of
items. *The auction will be held TODAY AND TOMORROW, Tuesday-Wednesday,
July 4th-5th, 17:00PM (Israel time)*, in our office, 2 Maimon St., Jerusalem
*,* in the building of Mossad Ha'Rav Kook (under the Cords Bridge, near the
Jerusalem Central Bus Station).

The catalog before you presents excellent items, which have been thoroughly
researched, of all fields of collecting. We shall note but a few:

Under the category of manuscripts, we present, among others, a complete
composition on the Torah, in nice orderly script, the early 19th century, a
composition that has never been printed.

Under the category of Letters by Rabbis and Rebbes, there are some items
that have never been seen in auctions! Among these is a letter by the
hidden Tsaddik Rabbi Naftali Chaim Horowitz of Jikov. The complete letter
is handwritten and signed by him. Jerusalem 1882.

Under the category of incunabulum, we present important items such as a
collection of leaves from Maimonides' commentary on the Mishnah, first
edition – Napoli 1592. Soncino printing press. An extremely rare incunabula.

You will also find important Hassidic books, copies of prominent rabbis and
Rebbes, the 18th and 19th centuries, books with handwritten glosses, first
and rare editions and more. Among others, you will find a unique book
bearing the signature of one of the thirty six Hidden Tsaddikim.

The book is Ma'ase Rokeach – Venice, 1742 – with the signature of the
Hidden Tsaddik Rabbi Yosef Shmuel Schwartz, the grandfather of Rabbi Akiva
Yosef Schlesinger, author of "Lev Ha'Ivri". The Chatam Sofer said of Rabbi
Yosef Shmuel Schwartz that he was one of the thirty six Hidden Tsaddikim,
adding that "it is not my custom to exaggerate!"

A special category in the catalog is dedicated to Passover Haggadot. Under
this category we present special and impressive items of the collection of
Moshe Ya'ari, who was one of the leading collectors of Haggadot in the
world. (He is the brother of the bibliographer and researcher Avraham
Ya'ari, author of "Bibliographia shel Haggadot Pesach")

Our catalog ends with a variety of special items under the category of
recent Jewish history: Jewish communities, the Holocaust and She'erit
Ha'Pleta, Jewish life in the Land of Israel during the Turkish and British
rule, the Zionist movement, the establishment of the State and more. These
items include books, engravings, photographs and postcards, some of them
extremely rare and have never been seen in auctions.
