Dear Friends
First I hope everyone had a pleasant Thanksgiving holiday. At our house we celebrate every year, guests and the whole turkey etc,. This year was extra special. Dvir has published, Anne Frank, the graphic novel. It is done by Ari Folman with illustration by David Polonsky. From a literary standpoint it should be noted that the text in Hebrew is based on the translation of the diary from Dutch to Hebrew by Karla Perlstein. Folman a respected director and screenwriter has produced an important work that feels much like a 'biblio-movie.' The artwork is clean and real and the characters have depth, (of course). It is literary, educational, powerful, moving and above all 'accessible to all readers.
