I like Maccabee! The Story of Hanukkah by Tilda Balsley (Kar-Ben, 2010) the best. The Story of Hanukkah by David Adler (Holiday House, 2011) is also good.

I have lots of Hanukkah books but for this very young age they generally describe Hanukkah celebrations, festivities, symbols but do not go into the story on a level that young children can understand.
