The Jerusalem International Book Fair is a biennial event taking place since 1963. It is a substantial meeting ground between literatures and publishing communities-Israeli and international. Each JIBF brings to Jerusalem hundreds of publishers, editors, agents and scouts and presents the Israeli literary scene to them, while at the same time—exposing international literature to its attendants. The last JIBF was held in 2017 and the next one will be 2019.
The popular book event in Israel is the שבוע הספר העברי Hebrew Book Week and it is usually held in May or June and it lasts between a week and ten days.
