Shanah Tovah to All, ALHATORAH.ORG is excited to introduce TANAKH LAB, a tool which will hopefully be of great benefit for those who love and study Tanakh. Simply select any passage in Tanakh, and Tanakh Lab helps you: (1) Identify its keywords and key phrases. (2) Obtain comparative stats for their frequency in the rest of Tanakh so that you can evaluate their significance in your unit. (3) Highlight other literary phenomena using its coloring palette. (4) Most importantly, pressing the TORAH icon provides a list of the chapters in Tanakh which have lexical/literary similarities to your unit. Clicking on the various links allows you to compare any of the units side by side, and opens the door for new connections and insights. As starters, here are a couple of examples from upcoming and recent Torah readings: http://mg.alhatorah.org/TanakhLab/Vayikra/16/1/16/34 http://mg.alhatorah.org/TanakhLab/Shemuel_I/2/1/2/10 and here is a screenshot of the compare tool: http://mg.alhatorah.org/MikraotGedolot/pages/Media/TanakhLab/ShemuelI2-ShemuelII22.png Additional options and filters are available in the Gear menu, and for a complete guide to the lab's features see: http://mg.alhatorah.org/TanakhLab_Guide. Tanakh Lab is part of a growing array of Torah resources freely available at AlHaTorah.org's customizable online Mikraot Gedolot (http://mg.alhatorah.org) and main site (http://alhatorah.org). To stay updated as new resources go live, subscribe at: http://alhatorah.org/Subscribe. Enjoy and please remember to share some of what you find with us and others!
