I am a part time librarian at a Reform synagogue library in San Antonio, Texas. Our library is fortunate to have supportive clergy, staff and board, as well as a dedicated library committee. Our library committee hosts a quarterly book club, but the past two years our turnout has been low, and we would obviously like to increase participation. Any thoughts on how to do this? What genre do you find to be most popular for synagogue book groups? Which day of the week and what time of day do you get the best response? How do you advertise your book club? Right now we host our book discussions on Sunday mornings while religious school is in session.
Thank you, Miranda Sutin Bendiner Library, Temple Beth-El San Antonio, Texas
