My name is Michael Cahn, trading as Plurabelle Books in Cambridge UK. We have recently received the few remaining copies of the English translation of the genealogical history of the Gomperz family. The translation and publication was initiated and supported by the late Bastien Gomperts. His daughters want to make sure that the work becomes more widely available. It often retails for very inflated prices. Comes with a CD containing the family tree (compiled by Ernest Gompers), from Reb Mordechai Gumpel (1585) down to 1945, with over 5000 names (GedCom file format). Also included on the CD is a Supplement, written by Ernest Gompers. Here, the genealogical sources and other matters of interest are discussed and a collection of about 60 photographs and drawings family members from the 19th and early 20thC are presented together with photographs of eight Gomperz gravestones (17thC) from the Jewish Cemetery in Emmerich with modern and ancient scenes in and around that town.
