Does anyone know of a first-person account/memoir, especially online, of an American rabbi or other Jew who visited the Soviet Union in the time period between 1965-1969.
I’d like to find out details, such as what the visitors took with them in the way of religious objects and how they may have hidden the items in their luggage. I’d also like to know what kind of Jewish life the Americans may have been aware of during the visit, for example, underground classes. Thanks if anybody can provide links or references of a first-person account.
