Hello, I wonder if you would be able to help me. I am interested in finding out about Roald Dahl and how his books were received / used by librarians in public libraries in the United States between 1983 and 1990. I wonder if you had any records on these things that you were able to share. Specifically, I would like to know if there are any instances / stories of Roald Dahl books being taken off the shelves by patrons, librarians or administrators following his publically-made antisemitic remarks to the New Statesman in the UK in 1983. Many thanks and all the best, Fiorella -- Jackie Ben-Efraim *"Although the books had changed, I the reader had not." **Micha Yosef Berdichevsky 1865-1921* Special Collections Librarian Ostrow Library American Jewish University 15600 Mulholland Drive Los Angeles, CA 90077
