Searching for: an intern for a few hours a week or every other week for a synagogue library in the Washington DC area. All prospective librarians welcome; interest in working with Judaica books or becoming a Judaica librarian a plus. Duties include assisting with basic cataloging, reference, purchasing, and donations for adult and/or children's services... all of which will be taught if they are new skills to the intern. The intern should indicate what their main interests are, so the internship can incorporate those aspects of librarianship. The internship will be set up as a mentor/mentee relationship. The librarian is happy to work with library schools or other institutions if credit hours are needed.
