Dear hasafranim,
I'm wondering what other libraries, esp. those that are part of a larger
institution, are doing at this time. Obviously, our synagogue has closed down
for services, but we're keeping a skeleton staff on during the week and are
floating the idea of having books from the library (wiped down and handled with
clean hands) hand delivered to those interested (leaving them in bags outside
residences and picking up in the same way, then wiping down and putting items
returned in "quarantine" for 2 weeks). We're a small community, so this is not
impossible.
Is anyone else considering such a thing? What do you think?
Thanks,
Rachel Haus, Library DirectorCongregation of Moses Fisher Library Kalamazoo MI
