The Association for Canadian Jewish Studies is pleased to announce the launch of two series of online presentations: *Meet the Author*, in which we interview the author of a new book in the field of Canadian Jewish Studies; and *Sessions*, a series of conference-style panels on a variety of topics. We are also looking forward to the launch of our third planned series, *Field Trips*, which will feature Jewish Canadian collections housed in archives, libraries and museums across the country.
The first author we featured in our *Meet the Author* series was Emily Robins Sharpe of Keene State University, and we welcomed Norman Ravvin of Concordia University to ask her some thought-provoking questions about her work, *Mosaic Fictions: Writing Identity in the Spanish Civil War*. For our second session, we welcomed our very own president, Hernan Tesler-Mabé of the University of Ottawa. Karen Painter, a musicologist at the University of Minnesota joined us and with her disciplinary perspective stimulated an excellent conversation about Hernan's new book, *Mahler’s Forgotten Conductor: Heinz Unger and his Search for Jewish Meaning*. Our first episode of *Sessions* was a discussion on the topic, “Online Harassment and Hatred in Canada: Realities and Remedies”. Hernan Tesler-Mabé moderated the discussion, which featured poignant presentations by Bernie Farber (Canadian anti-Racism Network), Megan Hollinger (University of Ottawa), and Heidi Tworek (University of British Columbia). Hosts can highlight new acquisitions, display some of their favourite items, focus on one or more historical moments, discuss a new exhibition, or discuss their collection more broadly. These online series have been co-conceived and co-organized by Richard Menkis (University of British Columbia) and Jesse Toufexis (University of Ottawa).
