Hi Heidi,

The Arabic Collections Online database (made by NYU) might be a good option for
your colleague to check out: http://dlib.nyu.edu/aco/

I’ll let you know if I think of any others!

Pauline

Hi Pauline,

The listserv for Association for Jewish Libraries just received the query
below. Do you have any recommendations?

The two databases that she is referring are large freely accessible databases
of legacy Hebrew texts that have been digitized and OCRd.

Thanks, heidi

Thanks, Heidi

Subject: [ha-Safran] Free Arabic text site

Hi all,

Is there an Arabic equivalent to HebrewBooks.org or Seforimonline?

I'm looking for the original Arabic text of Light of Shade and Lamp of Wisdom
being Hebrew-Arabic homilies composed by Nathanel ibn Yeshaya 1327

 Nūr al-Ẓulm wa-Maṣbaḥ al-Ḥukm =נור אלט'לם ומצבח אלחקם = نور الظلم ومصبح الحكم

thanks!

Sheryl
