Safranim, I received 3 titles: here they are     A Child's Garden of Torah: A
Read-Aloud Bible by Joel Lurie Grishaver.  Note that while this doesn't have
the gruesome material, it is written as a primer so that first readers can read
it themselves--short, choppy sentences, etc.  The illustrations are all black
and white only.   Someone suggested the title My First Parsha Reader;  it uses
all Ashkenazic pronunciation, (e.g. B'reishis, Shemos),  Finally, I learned
that a new book will be published this fall,  of 6 Bible stories; the title is
A Snake, A Flood, A Hidden Baby: Bible Stories for Children  by Israeli writer
Meir Shalev, to be published by Kananiot Books. Translated from his Hebrew
version.  Available in Sept. 2021, and described as:    A Snake, a Flood, a
Hidden Baby features six popular stories from the Hebrew Bible retold with
whimsy by one of Israel’s most celebrated authors. With irresistible humor,
Meir Shalev introduces a lively cast of characters. Whether it’s a sneaky snake
or a bunch of babbling builders, parents and their children are sure to enjoy
these tales anew.
