Today, Jan 27, International Holocaust Remembrance Day 2021, is focused on the importance of education and truth. The circumstances of persecution, imprisonment, genocide are often disputed by groups and individuals, following the actions of the Nazis who blew up the crematoriums and evidence of their crimes. The liberation of Auschwitz/Birkenau by Soviet allies is often credited to others and it’s imperative that each of us seek out the real stories by historians and those who survived.
