AJL aims to map institutions with Jewish collections to promote the visibility and accessibility of such material. AJL's Directory Committee has been working hard to make this happen. After collecting initial data from libraries and archives, we're ready for the next phase of this project through a community event that aims to crowdsource our database. First, our wonderful intern, Yahm Reichart, will present a visualization prototype of the initial data to give everyone an idea of what this project entails. Next, we'd like to ask all of you to help us make sure that your collection is in our database. We're especially excited to have information about lesser known libraries and archives, such as those found in synagogues, schools, historical societies, or museums. This will be a fun event where we get your input about the project so far and attendees will get to share details about the places they work or volunteer.
