I want to find a book that I used to use as a script for play theater. I'm hoping someone out there in the world of children's Jewish picture books will know it. It takes place in a synagogue, I believe located on the Lower East Side of NY, where a family of (Jewish) mice live behind the wall. When the family realizes that there is chametz on the top shelf of the Aron HaKodesh, the girl mouse in the family is the heroine that outwits the synagogue cat, with the help and support of her grandfather, and gets the chametz. Does this ring any bells?
Thank you! Rena Fruchter [email protected]
