Some of you on this list may be aware of the British researcher David Collier. He's the Englishman who uncovered shocking details of Labour Party antisemitism under Jeremy Corbyn's leadership.
In August 2019, he published a report, "Labour Party and radicalisation – *how the party enabled the spread of antisemitism within the Labour Party supporter base,** " *exposing how antisemitic extremists in the party turned more moderate members against Israel. By doing deep digging into Labour extremists' FB accounts and by attending supposedly "fringe" meetings (sometimes on campus, sometimes off) Collier revealed the dark, antisemitic underbelly of Corbyn's Labour. Everything Collier uncovered was validated by the decision of the UK Equality and Human Rights Commission that the Labour Party in the UK is responsible for its failure to deal with antisemitism within its ranks. *Now Collier has applied his social-media-sleuthing skills to the SCBWI issue.* What he uncovers is a must-read for anyone who wants to understand the SCBWI debacle. What Collier shows in his blogpost is that most of the negative comments about SCBWI's antisemitism post originated with one individual, Razan Abdin Adnani, who posted 19 times on Twitter against Powers' statement on antisemitism. Collier then reveals other antisemitic posts by Adnani, including the view that any Jews in Israel who aren't "locals" should, essentially, "go back where they came from" -- meaning to Poland or Germany. Why should someone with views like hers have the power to turn the life of an April Powers upside-down, whether Powers resigned or was pushed?
