Dear safranim,
ten years ago on December 16 the Grand Opening of Vilnius Jewish Public
Library took place with the participation of the Prime Minister,
Minister of Culture, Parliament (Seimas) members, Amarican and other
ambassadors to Lithuania. It was really a great event with nice music
too. A musical composition by Anatoly Shenderov "From Forgotten Book"
was played by leading Lithuanian musicians and singers.
Have a glimpse of the celebration. Most of the speeches are in
Lithuanian, but the US Ambassador, some international guests, library
initiator and book donator Wyman Brent are speaking in English. Music is
