In response to Heidi Rabinowitz's post, yes, I definitely read about the shameful news involving the anti-Semitic school librarian in the Washington, DC school. I was especially upset to learn that this woman received her MLIS degree at Dominican University, the same institution at which I received my own MLIS degree (although I was in the program several years prior to this woman). I wonder if it would serve Dominican U. well to issue a statement distancing themselves from this woman's reprehensible actions and beliefs -- or even to revoke her degree -- a trend that we have been seeing recently for other reasons among certain universities.
