Hi We belong to a modern orthodox synagogue. There is a library in the net midrash and one family (especially) supports it financially. There’s no librarian and I am not sure if the books ever circulate outside the building Another friend librarian is also a congregant but neither of us has ever been asked to help and our offers have been acknowledged but never used Shoshanah seidman

In my view, a bet midrash is a space where there are books meant to be used in the space - which is different than a library (with someone actively curating a collection which can also be lent out to users).
