Dear colleagues, Today was Jerry Anne’s last day as “Active Retiree” at Yale.
Yes…. Jerry Anne retired some seventeen months ago 😊. Yet, she had been so gracious to continue working part time until we found a new cataloger … Thanks to Jerry Anne’s sense of mission and her efforts alone, the “Judaica collection ship” at Yale Library was kept afloat (because, what are we all without cataloging?). Jerry Anne even stayed long enough to help train our new colleague Tali. I will never know how she did it, but even working only part time, she managed to keep the backlog to a minimum. It was a great privilege for me to work with Jerry Anne, who even found the time to help me find my footing with her kindness and excellent sense of humor. Please join me in wishing her all the best for the new stage of her life and in thanking her for all what she has done for our mission and profession. Konstanze Konstanze H.
