We use the Weine classification. I did make shelf subject signs; I'm at home right now but I remember these general subjects for nonfiction: Philosophy Judaism Holidays Bible Hebrew Science Education Arts Cookbooks Literature/Poetry History Holocaust Israel (there might be a few more)
