We did a major weed last summer. One of my volunteers, a retired librarian, has been going through the list of deaccessioned books, and linking them to our on-line catalog from the Internet Archive. I don't know if this is possible with Google's books, but it might be worth a shot as well.
Internet Archive also sent me boxes and tape for mailing to them the books that I had that they do not have listed on their website. We were weeding books that had not seen the light of day in 25 years.
