*University of California San Diego/La Jolla Village Tour*
 
Join your AJL friends and colleagues for a bus tour to UC San Diego and the 
picturesque La Jolla Village on Wednesday, June 26, 2:30–6:30 pm.
 
Tour itinerary:
UC San Diego Geisel Library: See treasures of the collection, then explore the 
exhibits, including Dr. Seuss art and memorabilia.
UCSD Hillel: Jana Mazurkiewicz Meisarosh, founder and executive director of the 
Yiddish Arts and Academics Association of North America, Yiddishland 
California, and the Yiddish Theatre Academy, will share an exhibit of paintings 
created by Yiddish-speaking artists from different countries and give a short 
talk, "Alternative Ways of Celebrating Yiddish Heritage in the 21st Century."
La Jolla Village: Enjoy a walking tour of downtown La Jolla, visiting the 
iconic cliffs and sea caves and, time permitting, its quaint shops.
 
Tour details:
Date: June 26, 2024
Time: Depart by bus from Holiday Inn Bayside (conference hotel) at 2:30 pm
Return by 6:30 pm; those who wish can remain in La Jolla for dinner or shopping 
and return on your own.
Attire: Comfortable walking shoes
Price: $36.00
