Hi all, Regarding travel arrangements to Southern California, I wanted to mention that if anyone found it easier to fly into Burbank Airport, the Amtrak station is within short walking distance, and there are 5 trains daily that go directly to San Diego Old Town on the "Pacific Surfliner" which, after transiting from Burbank to Los Angeles, eventually hugs the Pacific Ocean from Orange County to San Diego and it is a lovely ride on a summer's day—taking approximately 3.5 hours, for a one way ticket of $37.00. It could be an option for anyone coming in early Sunday morning. I am planning to arrive this way (you need to get a cab or Uber from the San Diego station to the hotel, which is 3 miles away) because I live close to Burbank. The options for train travel from LAX airport are not worth it because first you have to get yourself to downtown LA, which could be a pain...
