I am excited to announce that Susan Kusel and I are writing a book entitled The Handbook of Jewish Librarianship, to be published by Rowman & Littlefield, an imprint of Bloomsbury. The book will cover all aspects of the field, including Jewish library history, Jewish libraries within the community, types of Jewish libraries (both SSCPL and RAS), functions (cataloging, reference, collection development, programming, management), and more. We'll be discussing public services for Jewish patrons as well as Judaic librarianship itself, and discussing the significance and importance of Jewish literature and libraries. If you would like to be interviewed as an expert on any of these areas, please let us know!
