Fyi, Ahoti is written by Christian Zionists, one of whom has a certificate from an organization that firmly believes that the state of Israel is a necessary step towards the Second Coming, when Christ will be able to convert or kill all the Jews more easily since they're gathered in Israel. I strongly recommend against recommending a book written by people who smile on the outside while waiting for the Jewish people's divine destruction. It's a great book, rich with historic detail and feminist perspectives, but written by people who hold abhorrent ideologies.
