Hello,
I am a rare book curator at a small liberal arts college, seeking this list’s expertise to find intensive learning opportunities in the history of the Jewish book, open to librarians, with an eye to undergraduate teaching rather than personal research. This summer at CalRBS, Joshua Teplitsky is offering The Jewish Book from Scroll to Screen<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.calrbs.org/the-jewish-book-from-scroll-to-screen-2025/__;!!KGKeukY!2Na7J8LebsURTrGxn2wPloczXnBMy2iB0m7G2PXXgEKamQzIxJtPA8GWcxhaJN9PvQdQRxyM7thh27nJ0iw08ADk$ >. If any anyone has first-hand experience taking this class when it was last offered, I would appreciate your advice. The University of Hamburg is not offering Hebrew Codicology<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.csmc.uni-hamburg.de/news/2024-02-29-hebrew-codicology.html__;!!KGKeukY!2Na7J8LebsURTrGxn2wPloczXnBMy2iB0m7G2PXXgEKamQzIxJtPA8GWcxhaJN9PvQdQRxyM7thh27nJ0pCbtdl0$ > this summer, sadly! There’s also this summer’s offering at University of Toronto: Paleography and Provenance in Printed Hebraica<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://fisher.library.utoronto.ca/fisher-events/paleography-and-provenance-printed-hebraica__;!!KGKeukY!2Na7J8LebsURTrGxn2wPloczXnBMy2iB0m7G2PXXgEKamQzIxJtPA8GWcxhaJN9PvQdQRxyM7thh27nJ0tSkei0f$ > I often keep my eye on the London Rare Book School, California Rare Book School, and University of Virginia Rare Book School, but the offerings are slim. I am open to travel to the UK, and Israel. Are there wonderful opportunities I am missing? Thank you!
