This might blow up an Orthodox school but I’m a fan of Jenny Diski’s two novels about the matriarchs and patriarchs.
Only Human: a divine comedy After These Things The first casts the story of Abraham and Sarah as a love triangle with G_d. Whatever you make of that, there are some deep insights, such as the Torah’s stories being an amalgam of men’s accounts (e.g., the begats) and women’s tales (the Garden of Eden). The second, which appears to be out of print, picks up the thread with the story of Rivkah and Yitzhak. Lee Jaffe Temple Beth El, Aptos
