everything stefan says is true.  the hosc
bindings are really just enough to use sc3.
(and are biased to using many single threaded
connections, hence wait design etc.)

the problem with tcp is that it leaks
(on my machine) per connection, (ie.
using many short lived connections is
not possible). i once looked over the
sc3 tcp code & couldn't see the problem.

also, perhaps it's been fixed recently.
