Dear Haskellers,

I would like to make a pre-announcement: I am working on a haskell
realtime sound programs ("Harts") and want to show you some of the
first results. This is work in progress, so there is no Homepage yet,
and the library is not ready, but it can be used. (the current version
can be installed with cabal). Unfortunately it works only on Windows,
because it is based on DirectSound.

I decided to not wait longer with sharing the code, even if it is not a
mature library yet, because I think some of you are working on similar
things and could use my stuff. But I will re-announce this as soon as
there is a Homepage and more documentation.

To use it, you need to
- install the DirectSound package
(http://www.haskell.org/haskellwiki/DirectSound)
- install the Harts-0.0.4 package you will find in the 004 folder.
- download the example and the samples, and compile it
- run it from GHCi

You will also find some videos ("video") and mp3s ("audio") - but keep
in mind, these are *first* results...

Sorry for the sparse information, but as said, it's work in progress,
and I don't want to share it only when it's complete, since I would like
to extend it by some features I hope you will suggest :-) Any feedback
is welcome.

Best regards,
Daniel
