Hi there! The wxFruit effort was a senior project that focused pretty much exclusively on the paddleball game. It didn't really create any software that we intend to maintain and distribute.
I have a couple of students working on a continuation of this but I don't expect to release anything for a few more months. When I have some more time I'll address your example ...
