ghc-7.0.2 is currenty broken on powerpc-linux:
http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/4999
so I wouldn't be surpised if ppc64 is also broken.
I'm woring sporadically on this bug, but really need a large block
of time with no interruptions to make progress.
