As far as I know, there is currently no way to tell haddock to run the type inferer to document functions without explicit type signature. Is that done on purpose (e.g. to force the developpers to write at least the type signatures of the public API, which is a fair reason) or is it a limitation? Is it planned to add that support to haddock?
