abbot is an HP ProLiant DL120 G6, a 1U machine. I'm not in the office today, so I can't remember if it's got sliding or static rails (probably the former, but I'll confirm that). I'm pretty sure it does NOT have cable-management arms, but, again, I'll check when I get back to the office. It's definitely vendor-built, though it's now out of warranty. In other words, it's probably on the margin of what OSL would accept. > From the standpoint of you and galois, would you prefer that you no > longer had to worry about abbot, or prefer that you didn't have to > worry about moving abbot? That would be a consideration too :-) My primary concern at this point is that abbot's OS is old and essentially unsupported. I don't mind taking the time to wipe it, install a modern Debian (or whatever distribution you'd prefer), and bringing back online for the community. But I don't want it on our network much longer in its current condition. As for the choice between maintaining it and moving it, I have no preference. We just want to support the Haskell community in the best way. -- Paul Heinlein Galois, Inc.
