#203: [10.8] Haskell Platform installer should be signed with a developer ID ---------------------------+------------------------------------------------ Reporter: cbarrett | Owner: MtnViewMark Type: defect | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Component: OSX installer | Keywords: ---------------------------+------------------------------------------------ Given that the default Gatekeeper (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gatekeeper_(OS_X)) setting for 10.8 is to only allow Mac App Store and Developer ID signed applications / packages, the Haskell Platform installer is a lot less user-friendly.
When double-clicking, users are presented with the dialog in the attached screenshot. Clicking "OK" does NOT launch the package. (By right-clicking and selecting "Open", users are presented with a slightly different dialog that allows the user to open the package anyway.) More info here about how to get a Developer ID: https://developer.apple.com/resources/developer-id/ This is reasonably urgent as Mountain Lion's release is imminent (within the next couple of weeks, probably). -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.haskell.org/haskell-platform/ticket/203> haskell-platform <http://trac.haskell.org/haskell-platform> The Haskell Platform: a comprehensive and robust collection of Haskell libraries _______________________________________________ Haskell-platform mailing list Haskell-platform@projects.haskell.org http://projects.haskell.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/haskell-platform
