Alas I have to admit that my current work situation is making significant demands on my technical capacity - and I just don't have the time to wrangle Haskell Platform like I used to. The good news is that the build is now in very good shape, but I think the community deserves more frequent releases than I can now muster.
We should be looking for someone to take over Haskell Platform release shepherding, and maintenance of the build system it now has. Saddly, - Mark
