Finally found it!!!!! It took until I tried building on a new machine and where the hptool cabal sandbox was new, so that it pulled in a newer Shake! The fix is here:

The new alpha 3 linux binary (here <http://www.ozonehouse.com/mark/platform/>) build is built against a clean Debian Wheezy (7) install. With this build going forward, I'm using a careful, Docker based, reproducable build environment. -Mark
