No objection. But note that deb.haskell.org, which had up-to-date GHC
for Debian stable, was not missed much when it went offline, so the user
demand might not be too great.

I plan to improve the situation a bit by uploading the haskell packages
also to the Debian backports archives, but that will still take a long
time from the release, so it won’t solve your problem.

That is true, but it has been true for a while, so I would not hold my
breath. I am, however, very much looking forward to that, and plan to
make use of it.
