I checked out Fedora 20 as well (via docker) and it seems happy. You'd need ncurses-devel as well, if you were to import System.Console.Terminfo.
My guess is that both CentOS and OpenSUSE should be good too (both in docker and I could check them at some point.) So - the tarball is works - and we could do a simple dpkg of same for Ubuntu and Debian.
