Hi all, For quite some time there exist `stack solver` command and also `--solver` option for `stack init` command. It is supposed to be working with cabal-install-1.24 which is quite outdated now and the code wasn't updated for newer versions. So in the end it looks like this functionality is broken and is not widely used. Our current plan is to remove it from the `master` for the next release if there will be no voices if favor of supporting this feature.
