I use Hugs/Gofer as part of my C+Windows --> Java source code translation system.
If you can get it, I reccommend you try the Intel C compiler.  Although it is
not sold any more, it just makes all problems running 32-bit code on DOS boxes
just go away.  (And, believe me, I've put it through it's paces.()

The very last release had a small bug in it thoyugh...  Try getting 1.1 or 1.11
but not 1.11a (or something like that).
