The first patch to the Glasgow Haskell compiler, version 0.26, is in pub/haskell/glasgow/ghc-0.26-PATCH-1 on ftp.dcs.glasgow.ac.uk (~20KB); the i386-*-linuxaout binaries are in ghc-0.26-pl1-i386-unknown-linuxaout.tar.gz (2.5MB). There is no linuxaout profiling "bundle", because it doesn't work (yet?). [From the patch:] The following groups of people may be interested in [this patch's] effects. * Linux people: the fix to ghc/includes/COptWraps.lh is critical; it's why Linux binaries were not released when the other 0.26 ones were. The now-released ghc-0.26-pl1 binaries *already include* this fix. * People trying "Parallel Haskell": the fixes in here are pretty important. If you are working from source, just apply this patch and carry on normally. If you have a binary distribution, get in touch and we'll try to get you a new libHSrts_mp.a. * HP-PA users: the one-line fixes to ghc-asm-hppa.(l)prl can be applied by hand, even if you have a binary distribution. The fix only matters if you are running Perl 5. Other changes are of no great consequence. Will Partain ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) 31st July 1995
