The Glasgow Haskell Compiler -- version 0.22
             ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Glasgow Haskell compiler is now supported on sparcs running
Solaris 2.3 (and may work under Solaris 2.2 as well).  If you are
interested in running ghc on your Solaris box, the easiest way for
you to do it is to pick up the pre-compiled binaries,
ghc-0.22-bin-solaris.tar.gz, from pub/haskell/glasgow on:
        ftp.dcs.glasgow.ac.uk   (130.209.240.50), or
        ftp.cs.chalmers.se      (129.16.226.10)
or from computing/programming/languages/haskell/glasgow on
        src.doc.ic.ac.uk        (146.169.33.5)
(The Yale Haskell archive site hasn't picked up the new files yet.)
Note that the Solaris binary distribution is in a somewhat different
form than the other binary distributions (it's taken from a build tree
rather than an installed tree), so you have to read between the lines
in the installation document.  If you have any difficulty, send us a
request for help.
Alternatively, if you are interested in a source distribution, you
can pick up ghc-0.22-solaris-patches.gz from the same locations and
apply these patches to your ghc-0.22 source tree.
Please report bugs to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
direct general queries to glasgow-haskell-request@<same>.
