3rd Latin-American Conference on Functional Programming

The 3rd Latin-American Conference on Functional Programming will be
held in Recife, Brazil, from March 7th to 9th 1999. Previous events
were held in Buenos Aires, Argentina on September 14th, 1996 and La
Plata, Argentina from October 3rd to 4th 1997.
The 3rd Latin-American Conference on Functional Programming will also
make up the first two days of the Working Meeting of IFIP Working
Group 2.8, which will continue until the 12th March. Some authors may
be invited to join the rest of IFIP Working Group meeting.
Contributions in all areas related to functional programming are
invited. Topics include (not exclusive): lambda calculi, type theory,
education, language design and implementation, semantics and program
transformation. As on previous occasions, strong emphasis will be
placed on real world applications of functional programming.
Submission:
Original full papers or extended abstracts that have not been
published or submitted elsewhere. Submissions exceeding 12 pages of
Springer Verlag LNCS page format run the risk of being rejected
regardless of their merit.
Papers may be submitted in English, Portuguese or Spanish. Only
papers in English will appear in the printed version of the
proceedings and will be presented orally at the conference. Papers in
Portuguese or Spanish will appear in the electronically published
version of the proceedings and will be presented as posters.
All papers will be refereed by the programme committee, and will be
judged based on their significance, technical merit, and relevance
to the conference.
